Innovative R & D Forum (IRDF)

  To develop new ideas on how to structure the winning strategies and efficient, profitable R&D methods/systems for innovative product and process development, marketing and entrepreneurship. Current industry practices and government policies in US and Korea will also be examined for an enhanced science and technology cooperation between US and Korea, with strong emphases for an elevated level of participation by Korean-American scientists and engineers.

Role of government policies for profitable and productive R&D
Innovative R&D methods and management
Entrepreneurship as a well-defined business system
R&D for societal needs vs. corporate profits
Role of Korean-American scientists and engineers
Other emerging issues

  Speakers with academic distinction in innovative R&D methods and management, R&D administrators, past and present government officials with responsibilities for setting national science policies will be invited to the forum. The forum will be designed for producing novel and constructive ideas for the topical areas, and will discourage mere elaboration of government policies or public relations campaign for the institute or business entity.
