Online Conference Registration

Until July 1, 2009, the registration fee of $350 may be waived for KSEA members who have paid their dues before registering for UKC 2009. All other registration fee waivers should be requested and approved by KSEA before registration.

Registration/Meals Cancellation Policy
Online registration will be closed on July 13, 2009.
Confirmed registrants must cancel by July 13, 2009 to receive a full refund. No refunds will be given after this date.

Transportation from the airport
Once you have arrived at Raleigh Durham International Airport (RDU), you will find transportation readily available. Consider the following options:

Currency exchange
Currency exchange may be made upon arrival at Travelex Worldwide Money/ Raleigh Durham International Airport. Travelex is found in Terminal 2, at the Ticketing Lobby and also at Baggage Claim. Hours are 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. for the Ticketing Lobby, 2 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. at Baggage Claim).

If UKC attendees need currency exchange once they have arrived at host hotels or the convention center in Downtown Raleigh, First Citizens Bank is offers foreign currency at all of its branches including the Main office located at 239 Fayetteville Street, Raleigh, NC 27601. Venue Information
We are pleased to announce that the 2009 United States-Korea Conference on Science, Technology, and Entrepreneurship will be held July 16-19, 2009, in Raleigh, North Carolina in the newly opened, state-of-the-art Raleigh Convention Center (RCC). Raleigh, a vertex of the famed Reserch Triangle Park, is experiencing a dynamic downtown revival, exemplified by the RCC which is a stunning facility in the heart of the City of Oak's, and is specially designed to offer high quality meeting space for a wide variety of functions and events. We are very excited to hold the UKC 2009 in this architecturally impressive space.

The RCC provides 500,000 square feet of elegant, functional space, including a spectacular exhibit hall, 20 meeting rooms, open reception areas, and a stunning ballroom. It is the centerpiece of an energetic and sophisticated city with unparalled charm. Center visitors are first welcomed into a grand lobby, with its floor-to-ceiling windows. The open and airy, 4100-square foot, street-level mezzanine overlooks the exhibit hall and provides easy access to all other areas of the Center as well as the adjacent new four-star, 400-room Marriott Hotel. Granite details, casual seating arrangements, and a gracious reception area create the ideal spot to mix and mingle before or after events. Known for its Research Triangle Park, the nation's largest planned research development community with some of the world's largest corporations, Raleigh, the capital of North Carolina, is home to several prestigious universities, high-tech and pharmaceutical companies and great entertainment and museums. NC State University, located in Raleigh is one of the nationa's premier research institutions and a national leader in engineering, architecture, bio-technology, and veterinary medicine. Raleigh enjoys a temperate subtropical climate, with a typically warm to hot temperature with frequent thunderstroms in the summer months. In a normal year, July is the warmest month with averages highs around 89 degrees.
