Type 1: Travel Expense
Support for Speakers (Closed)
Submit application by June 30, 2010
All eligible UKC 2010 speakers will receive travel expense support. This travel
expense support is arranged for the cost of reasonable airfare (e.g., Coach
class tickets procured at least 30 days in advance), up to $500. The amount
varies depending on the one-way mileage).
1. US Speakers - UKC 2010 will apply the same policy
among all US speakers (both invited and regular) who registered for the UKC
2010 symposium. The speakers who are also KSEA Council members should not apply
this UKC 2010 Travel Support Fund but follow a KSEA Travel Guideline.
2. Korean Speakers - The financial support for
Korean speakers will be available only for speakers who will not get a travel
expense reimbursement from their employer, institution or other funding sources
(e.g., MEST, NRF, BK21). UKC 2010 will apply the same policy among all Korean
speakers who registered for the UKC 2010 symposium.
The amount of such a travel support varies depending on the air travel
distance. The support covers up to $500 (mainly for air fare) based on the
one-way mileage to the conference venue (Seattle, WA). You must submit the
original ticket receipts for this travel support application.
