>>> Bionano Systems Symposium

Conference Date: August 12-15 (Thu-Sun), 2010
Venue: Hyatt Regency Bellevue, Bellevue, Washington, USA
Extended One-Page Abstract Due: April 30, 2010
Notification to Authors: April 30, 2010
Final One-Page Abstract: Due: May 31, 2010

OBJECTIVE AND TOPICS

This symposium on bionano systems will be the premier forum for the presentation of new advances and research results in the fields of bionanoscience, bionanotechnology, and nanomedicine. It will bring together leading biological, physical scientists, engineers, and medical researchers in the domain of interest from around the world. Topics of interest for submission include, but are not limited to:

  • Bionanoscience: single cell nanobiology, gene regulation, precision biology, cell reprogramming, chemical biology of enzymes & viruses, systems nanobiology, bionanophotonics, spectroscopic imaging of living cells, structural and mechanistic analyses of biological processes at nanoscale, and nanoscale biophysics

  • Bionanotechnology: nanotechnologies for biology and medicine, DNA nanotechnology, biopharmaceuticals with nanoparticles, nano- & microfluidics, biological assays, molecular & cellular engineering, nanofiber tissue engineering, biochemical pathways, molecular recognition, biocatalysis nanotechnology, biofuels, bionanomaterials science, and bionanotechnology inspired by nature

  • Bioinspired designs and systems: nanosatellites, biologically inspired nanomaterials, biomolecular nanostructures, responsive biomaterials, artificial leafs, synthesis of biopolymers

  • Nanomedicine: applications of bionanoscience in medicine, drug delivery systems, bionanoparticles for cancer targeting, monitoring, gene regulation, cell repair machine, nanonephrology, neural interfaces with nanoelectronics, nucleic acid-based diagnostics, and integrated global healthcare systems
