In recent decades, thanks to advanced measurement and visualization techniques in biological fields that result in highly quantitative data, the field of Mathematical Biology has experienced a rapid development and growth. At the same time, mathematical tools and techniques are required to analyze and interpret biological data. Yet, it is quite rare to observe mathematicians and biologists having face time. This joint session will provide a venue for true interdisciplinary synergy between mathematicians and experimentalists.
