With the increasing frequency of weather-related extreme events and land use changes, monitoring and assessing planetary health and its impact on human societies is increasingly important for sustainable futures. To tackle the grand, challenging issue of Earth sustainability, engaging with different disciplinary specialists and industry partners is crucial. This forum will discuss recent advances in understanding the processes of changing the Earth from atmosphere to cryosphere, as well as monitoring and assessing planetary health using cutting-edge geospatial technology. Invited speakers will discuss their recent studies addressing these topics, drawing examples from multiple case studies from remote sites to urban regions.
